Seamlessly, I hope. I introduce a number of actual historical figures (House, Tunney, Pershing, et. al.) into the action, but my fictional characters and their conflicts drive the story. They don’t observe; they participate: Black Tom Island, the assassination of Liebknecht, the fight in the Meuse-Argonne.
